Sustainable Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Security
Covid-19 has adversely impacted on food systems in SSA countries. Existing food security and nutrition challenges are exacerbated. ICED seeks to play an instrumental role in food systems transformation in Ghana in the post COVID-19 world. ICED already has ample experience in sustainable agriculture intensification and is capable to support rural farmers to improve productivity in the post COVID-19 world and build their resilience to cope with climate change impacts. ICED will assist smallholder farmers to adopt sustainable agricultural methods such as climate smart agricultural (CSA) and precision agriculture, organic farming, processing of agricultural products, and accessing national and international markets.
